Mock Draft Picks 1- 16

On April 26th, the first round of the NFL draft will begin. Every year scouts, websites, and even fans come up with mock drafts. While I often disagree with many of them, I still like to look at them to see different opinions on how the first round of the draft will fall. On that note, I have created my own mock draft, and here it is.

Colts' fans have been looking forward to the
2012 NFL Draft since the middle of last season.
1. Colts- Andrew Luck, QB (Stanford): No need to explain, everyone knows this is happening.

2. Redskins- Robert Griffin III, QB (Baylor): Another obvious selection here.

3. Vikings- Matt Kalil, OT (USC): A highly rated offensive tackle to defend Christian Ponder's blindside for many years to come.

4. Rams (via trade from Browns)- Morris Claibourne, CB (LSU): I see the Rams trading ahead of the Bucs to steal away the highest rated defensive back in this year's draft.

5. Buccaneers- Stephon Gilmore, CB (South Carolina): The Bucs want Claibourne, but will have to settle for Gilmore here.

6. Browns (via trade from Rams)- Trent Richardson, RB (Alabama): The Browns are thinking about grabbing Richardson, Blackmon, and Tannehill, but they will eventually go with Richardson who is the best running back in the draft.

7. Jaguars- Justin Blackmon, WR (Okla. St.): The Jags need someone better than Lee Evans, Mike Thomas, and Laurent Robinson. Blackmon is their guy.

8. Dolphins- Ryan Tannehill, QB (Texas A&M): The Dolphins need a quarterback, and if Tannehill falls to the Dolphins at 8, they will draft him.

9. Panthers- Fletcher Cox, DT (Miss. St.): Fletcher Cox can provide a big and athletic body in the middle of the Panthers rather abysmal defense.

10. Bills- Riley Reiff, OT (Iowa): I believe that the Bills will look to upgrade their offensive line with Reiff with the tenth pick.

11. Chiefs- Michael Brockers, DT (LSU): The Chiefs will look to add Brockers to fill their need at nose tackle.

12. Seahawks- Melvin Ingram DE (South Carolina): The Seahawks could benefit from a better pass rush, and Melvin Ingram would be a steal at number 12.

13. Cardinals- Jonathan Martin, OT (Stanford): The Cardinals need to protect Kevin Kolb or John Skelton, and Jonathan Martin could help upgrade their O-line.

14. Cowboys- Mark Barron, SS (Alabama): The Cowboys need a strong safety and Mark Barron is a perfect fit at 14.

15. Eagles- Luke Kuechly, ILB (BC): The Eagles struggled last year with their inside linebackers. Luke Kuechly could be the fix they needed last year.

16. Jets- Courtney Upshaw, OLB (Alabama): The Jets are another team that could use an enhanced pass rush and Courtney Upshaw would be a nice fit for them.

Tomorrow: Picks 17-32
