17. Bengals- Michael Floyd, WR (Notre Dame): If Floyd makes it to the Bengals, look for them to add Floyd opposite of A.J. Green.
Ben could use a better offensive line in 2012. Will the Steelers draft an O-lineman in 2012? |
19. Bears- Dre Kirkpatrick, CB (Alabama): The Bears could use Kirkpatrick if he falls to them at 19.
20. Titans- Alshon Jeffrey, WR (South Carolina): I feel like many people are overlooking one of the best players to come out of the SEC in Alson Jeffrey.
21. Bengals- Dontari Poe, DT (Memphis): If Poe slides to 21, the Bengals could take a risk by grabbing the talented Poe.
22. Browns- Kendall Wright, WR (Baylor): After potentially snagging Richardson in the first round, the Browns could continue adding offensive firepower by bringing in the speedster Wright.
23. Lions- Quinton Coples, DE (UNC): The Lions already have a dominant defensive line, but they could create even more havoc with Coples in a Lions uniform.
24. Steelers- Cordy Glenn, OT/OG (Georgia): The Steelers could use an upgrade or two or four on their offensive line, and Cordy Glenn could help.
25. Broncos- Jerel Worthy, DT (Mich. St.): The Broncos could look to upgrade in the middle of their defense by adding Worthy at 25.
26. Texans- Dont'a Hightower, ILB/MLB (Alabama): After basically dumping DeMeco Ryans, the Texans have a hole in the middle of their defense. However, Hightower could be just the guy to fill that hole.
27. Patriots- Whitney Mercilus, OLB/DE (Illinois): The Patriots could use a better pass rusher and Mercilus would be a nice grab for the Pats here.
28. Packers- Mike Adams, OT (Ohio St.): The Packers just released Chad Clifton after a failed physical, so they could use another offensive tackle. Mike Adams at 28 would be a nice fit for them.
29. Ravens- Peter Konz, C (Wisconsin): Matt Birk can't play forever, so the Ravens will select his replacement in Peter Konz.
30. 49ers- Shea McClellin, DE/OLB (Boise St.): McClellin can upgrade the 49ers pass rush.
31. Patriots- Doug Martin, RB (Boise St.): Remember Kevin Faulk (in his prime)? Doug Martin has the potential to be a better version of Kevin Faulk for the Patriots.
32. Giants- Colby Fleener, TE (Stanford): The Giants had a rash of TE injuries in the playoffs, and they could use a good tight end right now. Luckily, the best TE in the draft could fall to them.
I know that on April 26th I will be watching the NFL Draft. I will finally be looking forward to the start of football since the draft gives me the sense that the new NFL year is finally here.
